Oh well they have really great food, a wonderful theater scene, white sands, historic Ruidoso, beautiful Cloudcroft, the pistachio farm...............and much much more............they, as a teeny tiny town have more to offer than this waste of space town in Florida!! YEAH Holloman!! were glad your not Minot or Dyess or Cannon.........

Billy has graduated to his own little big boy table......and he loves it! i've been really bummed out lately so I bought myself these Daisies from Sam's and put them in my favorite blue vase that Big Billy bought me.

Big Billy really wants me to make Staff Sergeant this year so he bought me this little bitty computer to study on at work.........i love it

Lastly, when we first bought our house this room was a junk room, then we cleaned it up and turned it into a game room, but Big Billy kept bringing his 360 out because he wanted to play
Halo on the big TV, so now we turned it into our home gym!! Third times a charm

So.....as most of you know we have been attempting to get pregnant for a while.......Well, to be exact! it will be one year in exactly one month and my doctor is starting to throw out terms like "second-line infertile" I guess meaning that I have successfully had a pregnancy that resulted in a baby but am now unable to get pregnant! ARGHHH......why the heck cant I have a baby!! I mean you got el-ding-bat giving birth to eight when she was so obviously having them for the wrong reasons......and I just want one! (at least one more) Billy needs a little play mate!

I started sewing finally.......this is a baby carrier I made.....it turned out really good and I have always wanted those cloth grocery bags, but they always look so cheap so I wanted to make them instead.....anyhow from the front it turned out good, but I guess I forgot to line up the sides....oh well, I'm gonna make like five so I really dont care to re-do it.

This has been a very action packed week for us. First on Tuesday we found out that the assignment team would be here with our order on the 9th.......YEAH!!! but then the very next day our Wing Weapons Manager came up to Billy and told him that they are switching us to group three (the last group to leave) so now not only are we not going to get orders in the next couple weeks we have to wait until April for the overseas orders and who knows how long for the stateside orders.......ARGHHHH!!!

Plus we are among a very select group to stay behind so we have to do the very fun job of turn in!........can you imagine all the crap you have to have to maintain the weapons systems on an F-15 Aircraft!!! I have alot of work ahead of me!!!

So...I was in my computer room and seriously like two seconds later I come out and I cant see the baby...so I am frantically racing around the house and he is nowhere to be found, then I heard a rattle from inside the dog's crate....and yup sure enough there was little Billy having the time of his life, shut into the doggie crate....why do I even pay for day care apparently he would be perfectly happy locked up with Marley all day...(I'm so just kidding)

Here is the video from my pretty controversial re-enlistment...but don't worry all of my critics this is just to pay off some debt, the plan is for Billy to knock me up (If we could ever get pregnant) and then opt out!And you will also note that I am wearing my new Air Force ABU's....pretty fancy eh?The Officer re-enlisting me is a guy from our ward, Capt Dahl......our encounters have been brief but he is a very nice guy and was super great to come and re-enlist me with short notice!, plus he does make some mean hot wings.

Alright bare with me as I get out some of the things I am feeling! Last Monday I was talking to my husband as we crossed paths during the shift change at work (I was getting off, he was coming in) Anywho he told me they werent flying that day and of course I asked why! We are the United States Air Force afterall its kind of what we do. His response was something that has unfortunatley become common place to me, "one of the crew chiefs killed himself last night"

Why as the Air Force are we losing more troops to suicide than we are to combat? Why does the armed forces choose to put us through some of the most difficult situations a human can ever be put through and then detach us away from our support system....our families, and I am not talking about going to the desert. Of course you can not fight the war from your home town but we can train closer to home. My job is all over the place....and I am constantly hearing friends say that they want to be near their family. I have friends at Nellis who want to be here in Florida, does it make any sense to you?! It's no wonder we are a depressed lonely bunch of people......I hate to say it but I envy my brother who get to come home in September!! I have been gone for four years with no light at the end of my tunnel......and then the AF wonders why we lose hope......I love being in the Air Foce and I love serving my country but good Lord......SEND US HOME!!!

I was at the commissary today and the old Asian woman who helped me and Billy out with our groceries asked me what happened to Billy's forehead, I told her it was a birthmark and that he had one at the base of his skull as well. She nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw it, and started going on about how in her culture it meant he was of royal birth and that he would be a genius. The last thing she said to me has stuck with me all day, she said he would be President of the United States, In fact she wouldnt let me leave until I promised to send Billy to a great University and point him towards politics, she just kept saying over and over he will be President, he will be President. Then she hugged him and sang it to him "you will be President" laughed saying I know he understood me and left. She turned around one more time as she was walking away "He will be President"

Ta-Ta's Are Awesome

So, I was driving home today and on every single car was a pink breast cancer ribbon I thought to myself I hope this isn't a sign, but then I happened upon the last car before getting home, and low and behold another pink ribbon but this one had a saying "Ta-Ta's are awesome" I thought for a moment....should this offend me or do I love it, finally I decided that I loved it, after all they are pretty awesome. Besides, the untold amount of power that they give the female over the male, they are pretty amazing. They created a bond between my baby and I that I will treasure forever. They Brought him perfect nourishment and untold amounts of comfort, not to mention comfort and peace to me. You know Ta-Ta's are Awesome!! (not exactly my favorite term for them, but hey I'll go with it) God Bless all you women who have had to deal with this terrible cancer and enjoy my tribute to the female form.

So.....It's been an interesting week. I have been so sick and finally I found out why....I'm Pregnant, just as soon as the words sunk in the contractions started. Another miscarriage.....everyone told me that now that I have had Billy my 'system' would work....but apparently not. I'm sad and somewhat relived but mostly sad not to mention annoyed how many miscarriages can one person have, with no explanation to why. Whatever maybe Billy will be an only child after all. And to boot Big Billy left for his TDY this morning....so now I am all alone for the next month. woe is me :)

Everyonce in a while life throws you a bone. It's been an interesting weekend, we had the missionaries over because they wanted to help us clean out our attic. Well great thought until one of the missionaries stepped into our air conditioning duct and completely wrecked our system, leaving us without heat in the coldest part of the year. But then something miraculous happened, we were driving by and saw it. The bright gleaming sign......NOW OPEN Little Ceasers pizza. As I drove home smelling the sweet smell of hot cardboard Iwas reminiscent of all those great Friday night.......and how much I miss home. I am glad to have a little slice of home right here in the NWF Panhandle.

The way I feel

First of all let me preface this by saying, the purpose of a personal blog is to say what I want, tell people how I'm feeling and give my opinions on different things.....I caught some crap about titling my last blog the way I did....but to that I say "Are you asking me to be fake? this is how I feel"

Anyhow I have been going through a bout of postpartum depression and the Air Force is having me speak with a counselor periodically.......it's no big deal but one of the things that she "prescribed" was to do something just for me something that is an interest of mine. This got me thinking.....
I have always had a hard time with this concept, I after all grew up half of a whole. This is what I have come up with:

1. food but not just food, going out with friends to eat...
2. movies especially those with Jane Austen stories
3. being a Mom (but it helps when you have the greatest babe ever)
4. naps...need I say more
5. a clean house and an empty laundry bucket. (especially when my husband cleans it)
6. window shopping (maybe someday I will win the lottery and be able to buy stuff.

While I'm at it, things I really don't like:
1. people who dont call back
2. people who dont email back (especially when I am trying to get info)
3. the way food makes me feel (I wish they would invent some super fuel, that was the perfect calories, gave you great energy, and made you optimally healthy.
4. Last but certainly not least......MY JOB!!!!!!

As the Holiday season approaches (rapidly) I often look back and reminisce on Christmases past. People always say that when it comes to gift giving that it is truly the thought that counts.....Well as I look back on all the gifts I have received the one that stands out most in my mind is the year that a young baby Daniel saved up his money to buy us each 5 McDonald's bucks. I don't remember what I bought with that 5 dollars but I do remember that I held on to that gift for quite a while not wanting to lose the sentiment. I'm not really sure why it touched me so much and I actually have to let the tears flow just typing this. But I just want to leave with all of you; my friends and family that I love this time of year for the goodness and selflessness it brings out in people, I love my Heavenly Father and enjoy singing his praises so loudly throughout the season....this really is a truly wonderful time and I pray we can all look back on those memories that are more precious than all the money in the world....us Belanger's really are the richest of them all!!!

Growing Pains

So my littlest Billy is going through some growing pains. He has discovered his hands and now is appalled at the idea of a Binky but isn't quite smart enough to understand that if he gets upset and flails his arms around they will come out of his mouth so he can't suck. However, I think he may be getting it since I had to wake the baby up this morning around three to feed. He was curled up in a little ball with all four of his fingers in his mouth....sucking vigorously. I wouldn't have woke him up if I hadn't already soaked the bed...Time to Feed!!! (Sorry to gross you out boys of the world)
